The beach access across the street is fantastic. Great for the kids and the water is refreshing!
Beautiful motel. Totally worth the price. Probably the best place in the upper peninsula to stay. The new owners have transformed the old motel into a wonderful getaway sanctuary.
This older style motel is under new ownership and currently being renovated. It is cozy and quaint, but I loved it! Rooms were nice and clean and decorated in a “cabin” motif. Our room had a new medium sized refrigerator (not the normal tiny hotel style) and a new LCD TV. There was plenty of hot water, but the bathroom was a little on the small side, which is typical of these older motels. They have a beautiful private beach on Lake Michigan, just across the street. Next door there is a family style diner that is also under new ownership and the food and service there was wonderful. The owners live on-site and were very friendly and nice to talk to. If you like the “up north” feel and laid back attitude, this place is for you. If you want a fancy hotel and impersonal service, head back to the city.
Satellite, large screen TV with all the channels for night time entertainment. There are also a bunch of fun family games provided in the room as well!
Can't say enough about how fantastic Chris and his wife were!! They went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable and provided the absolute WOW experience as I underwent car troubles while here. Couldn't think of a better place to be stranded!! Beautiful scenery, clean rooms and hospitality beyond expectations.
I had the pleasure of staying in one of the large suites which has everything you need, from cookware to dishes to a nice gas stove and fridge.
Chris and Terri and excellent hoteliers, very welcoming and knowable about the area. The room was spotless and very comfortable, with a great view of big bay De noc,let alone the many hundreds of feet of beach to stretch out on... I highly highly recommend the moose manor resort, so do yourself a favor, pull in and stay the night, the pillows are fluffy and the bedding is all brand new... !!!
Outside of the motel are several lounging spots to relax outside. A nice wood swing and matching lounge chairs are placed in the very well kept front lawn.
When you're hungry, the restaurant next door is full of friendly people and cook some really good food! Their breakfast as awesome as well as their dinners.
Last minute unexpected stop here. What a pleasant surprise. Really nice people, very clean rooms. Also pet friendly!! The view across the road of the lake was beautiful. We were told about the area attractions, which we are now adding to our trip. If we can't see it all, we plan to come back and stay again.
And when you are ready to turn in for the night, the beds are large, super nice, memory foam beds! Also there are air conditioners to keep you cool through those hot nights.
